Press conferences say what they are about

The press conference now names the decision that called the journalists in, and no longer promises a Courier quote that may never appear.

Players told us they could not tell why the journalists were waiting, and that the summary promised for the next day's World Courier often never came.

What changed

  • Above the questions the window now says what called the press in: a major government decision, a declaration of war, the end of fighting, a summit or an accusation in a case.
  • After the last answer the window says what really happens: the world chronicle always records the conference, and the World Courier quotes the government's answers when its edition has room among the day's big news.
  • The question counter no longer shows “0 of 3” once the conference is over.
