Small states can build, and a season counts only your own work
Second round of balance fixes: plants and investments sized to each country, stability that needs care, and a fairer Great Game and battles between people.
The balance tests found more numbers that made no sense. Fixes that change a campaign's numbers apply to campaigns and worlds founded from today: the league compares only games played under the same rules, so campaigns under way finish on theirs.
Campaign
- A new power plant is sized to the country, and an industrial zone or a research centre costs at most 1% of GDP. One solar farm used to cost Nauru more than its whole yearly GDP.
- Very high stability slowly fades as expectations rise. Calm needs looking after for the whole campaign.
- Building near the capital works in every state, including Lisbon, Stockholm, Reykjavík, Barbados and Macau.
- The energy window says how many days today's power will last and from when a new power plant starts to help.
Stories and cases
- Election Silence: the result stands only with calm streets and free speech. Otherwise the election goes to the courts.
- Shadows over the Base: naming the planted evidence returns the influence spent on the allies' lead and earns prestige and reputation.
Battles
- A battle the other person gave up earns no stars, points or trophies.
- The shot preview for missiles and drones shows the chance of interception.
- Wrecks on the roads slow the convoy's fuel tankers too.
- The launcher hunt at the highest level can be won with a good plan.
- The land convoy and the defence line on Hard are no longer close to unwinnable.
Great Game
- Money between people's states (aid, reparations, electricity prices) counts towards neither side's season score.
- A state taken over a second time in a season stays as its previous government left it: with its forces, equipment, protection and an ongoing crisis.
- Alliances with equal scores share the place and the bonus.
- Whoever governed in two worlds of one season moves up or down once, by the government they led longest.
