Automatic balance tests checked the whole game. We fixed what made no sense: debt, the advisors' alarms, stories, cases, battles and the Great Game.
The game now has a balance gate. With every change it plays hundreds of campaigns in 30 states by itself, battles at every level, every path of every story and seasons of the Great Game, and checks that the numbers make sense. It found plenty to fix right away.
Campaign
- Computer governments keep the same budget limits as you.
- A deficit covered automatically costs what bonds cost, with the same premium for debt beyond what markets tolerate.
- Stealing technology gives at most the gap between the two states.
- The finance minister raises the alarm only before dear debt. With ordinary credit they say we borrow at the usual rate.
- In new campaigns a tour of the country in opposition takes two days, so media interviews make sense too.
- Decision hints name every effect, and a press conference gives no influence beyond the limit.
Stories and cases
- Promises and their consequences match what you really did, and later chapters inherit only what they should.
- Grade S can now be won at the Last-Chance Summit.
- Every case with puzzles can be solved without paying influence.
- Bets with your advisors are settled by what actually happened.
Battles
- The land convoy can be won: the fuel tankers drive on the roads.
- Experience, kills and losses count only for what really happened.
- Reinforcements check for room before they use up the call.
Great Game
- Two players aiding each other no longer create points from nothing.
- Ambition medals reward progress made since the choice.
- Leaving a world resets nothing, and a tie in the season table shares the place.
Crowns
- A season pass reward is never empty.
- A speed-up charges exactly the price on the screen.
- The Crown history describes every entry.
